Hi to 3e2 and 3e3 students, sorry I am unable to print out the answer to the test on time.

Below is explanation how to do it and tomorrow I will print a model answer (by a E1 student)

First Question

Firstly the first question on the uses of forest areas. Note that the question says "areas" not just trees. It implies that the space that is occupied by forest can also be used and not just the trees in the forest.

The question is 5 marks - students should 5 different explanation on the 5 different uses of the land.

Eg. Due to the presence of precious minerals found in the forests. Large areas of the forest is cleared so that the minerals can be mined.


Second question on LORMS

this question has two parts

Part one you have to elaborate on at least two problems of deforestation in Kalimantan

eg.
1) You state about the importance of biodiversity in Kalimantan and cite examples from on the number of species in the forest then state how they will become extinct or harmed. [At least two problems described)

2) You state at least two methods to alleviate the situation [because of the question saying 'attemptS']

eg.
Attempt 1
Conservation - what is it? how it is practiced in Kalimantan?
What is the advantages of conservation in Kalimantan?
- forests are now found in reserves. name of reserve? when set up?

Advantages
- how come conservation will help solved the problems u had with the point 1 above?

Disadvantages
- was conservation successful to prevent deforestation completely? what were the limitations?
