I have been very busy and simply no motivation to even blog thus neglected this. But I will try to reflect more often okay?
Well, I really can't remember much that happened since I last blogged - time passed in a blur :) .....Hmmm...I remember that June, I went to Australia - Melbourne and Perth - despite everyone's disapproval because of the swine thing. I was actually quite stressed by it all but I have to thank my students and good friends who were encouraging and gave me the push.
Anyway, the trip was a very good one as I managed to meet up with my dear dear friend (which is the main purpose of the trip), see fairy penguins at Phillip Island and Feed Kangeroos at Perth.
What I didn't like most about the trip was the weather.
Melbourne was very cold....brrrrrr..... I had to put on about 5 layers and looked like a 'ba chang' (dumpling). The day temperature was okay - around 12 but towards the night, temperature dropped to around 5. I realised that I am a tropical animal.... should not veer from 10 deg N and S of the equator! Give me the Sun anytime!
After Melbourne, I left for Perth which is Western Australia. The climate there is milder with temperature that is more manageable. Finally, was able to take pictures with less then 2 layers! Phew! Temperature is around 17 deg C and slight cooler at night.
Do you know how long we said we wanted to go Australia? I still remember very clearly...1995 - in the cinema at Hougang Plaza - three of us were watching Flintstone the Movie - an advert came on that publicized Australia and we promised to make the trip together in future (reading - when we earned enough money) Finally, last year, we told ourselves to go for it. haha..... So we planned to go at June and meet in Melbourne (one of them migrated there) and celebrate my birthday together :)

This was taken by the beach in Melbourne. Sat there waited for a long time for the Sun to set into the horizon but end up it was too cloudy and the whole big egg yolk was blocked.
Took pictures among the grape vines while visiting a wine factory - it was sunset - the place is really transformed by the colours

Bought an ugly sweatshirt on ELMO that day :) wanted to look cute cause its my birthday haha!!! Nice pose right??? haha....
