For the past two weeks, everyday I would travel to orchard road for my ST course. Following the same routine of taking the bus, then the train and finally the bus to my destination. There I would attend class from 9am to 4.30pm or sometimes 5pm before making my way home the same route again. Initially, it was difficult to adjust to the crowded train and the morning jam on the roads but now I have slowly settled down.
My class is made up of 35 Senior Teachers (with me being the youngest keke :) ) They are very fun people who are always full of enthusiasm and laughter. Its like being in a room of kindred spirits, where I feel comfortable with everyone. All of them have so much experiences and cool ideas which I could learn from. I just can't wait to go back to school to try them out.
Our class functioned just like a class committee in our school with a class monitress who looked after the welfare of our class, the logistic committee that helped to set up the lessons for our lecturers and distributing of notes and cleanliness committee who open the classroom and lock up at the end of the day and making sure the room is clean etc. Everyone is very cooperative and willing to help each other. I sit right in front near where the lecturer lectures and is always helping my new friends to fix the sound for the computer and also to 'click' the slides for their powerpoint presentations :)
There are some readings to do, presentations, weekly homework and a project to be completed after my course but it is still manageble. The lecturers were good and I have been learning alot (or rather revising) even though I have attended most of the courses when I took my masters.
In fact, I have only been a student for two weeks but already I feel so removed from the school scene. I do meet up with my colleages many times a week but I am beginning to feel that I have left the school for a long time. Sigh! Hope I can adapt well into the school when it is time.
