( the minuses )
Did some study skills with my 4s this week and can see that they feel very stress after it. Perhaps I introduced the methods too early or maybe I should try some cushioning techniques first? But at the same time, I noticed that last week at the same time, the class did show same kind of tense expressions but for the second lesson of the week they were their normal happy selves.
Hmmmm..... perhaps they are all grouchy morning people??? :P If any of you are reading this, don't worry about the lesson, it was meant to be like this before I teach the chapter. I will never let move on until you understood the lesson well okay? If you have any questions or doubts, you must ask me.
I also feel that my sec 3 pure lesson did not go well. Perhaps because I confused them with too many slides and examples of volcanoes. Next week, I will do a summation of this week's lesson to clear up doubts before I move on to the next topic. Okay class? Sorry about it.
My masters module this term is a tough one :( There is alot of homework and the readings are very difficult to comprehend, I have to spend a long time reading them. On top of my lesson preparations and marking, I set aside two hours in the weekends and 1 hour in the two days before class to read but in the end, I still felt like nothing was understood. Eventually I went into class feeling rather insecured. Though I was able to contribute well in the lesson, I did feel overall that it was not a success.
(the pluses)
My classes are really very nice and fun to teach this year and they put smiles to my overall unsuccessful week many a times. I am glad to see that they are getting serious about learning and are able to answer my recap questions so confidently this week. I observed that the assignments this week were done with effort and thought. Almost 100% handed in too. (except for two who were absent) Well Done everyone! :)
I have finished reading my homework for my masters module yesterday! This time I took time to really understand them unlike previously! Proud of myself! Yay! One pat on my back! heh
heh...
Most of "MyE5s" brought their photos to class on friday for the family album. Some of their pictures were of their younger days. Very cute! :) I enjoyed reading their sharings and some of them were rather touching. :) Did show off my own photo of my family as well. Want to see? ---> I call this "The three brothers" because I was the tomboy of the family.
Some 'announcements'
1) Happy birthday VJ! (Don't watch too much NC16s okay? ;) )
2) MyE5 leaders, time to think about some fun stuff to glue our family together okay? We can have our own 'family album' as well.
